Trainee Practitioner Path
Initial Training Course
This is provided by licensed AVIGuk supervisors who set their own costs. All courses cover core material – some courses provide extra time for study of theory and support with implementation.
Supervision
Fifteen is the minimum number of supervisions while eighteen is recommended.
AVIGuk Fees
It is essential that enrolment is completed at the beginning of the VIG Training. Enrolment with AVIGuk gives access to the AVIGuk Learning Platform for three years (renewable) and a half day course on how to use it effectively. Later in the training there is a Midpoint Review and then an Accreditation which includes an introduction the Accredited Practitioner Path. These can be paid as the trainee reaches each point or as a bundle at the start at a reduced rate.
Enrolment and payment is effected by using the form above. This should be done by the trainee themselves. However, there is space on the form to give details of the organisation who will pay the invoice if appropriate.
Following accreditation there is a small annual charge to remain accredited and keep access to the learning platform for access to resources, communication and CPD.
Advanced Practitioner
AVIGuk Fees
The introduction to advanced is part of the Embedding VIG course which is included in the Practitioner Accreditation. One or two Advanced SDS Masterclasses are recommended. Invoices are issued on enrolment.
Advanced Accreditation includes support with upload of materials and feedback and resubmission if application is not successful. An invoice is triggered when applying for the Accreditation.
Supervision
One supervision is ESSENTIAL pre-submission. However, four supervisions are normally needed.
Trainee Supervisor Path
AVIGuk fees
Enrolment on the Trainee Supervisor Path includes the introduction to trainee Supervisor Day, one SDSS Masterclass and the Supervisor Accreditation. An invoice is triggered for this bundle when accepted by AVIGuk as a Trainee Supervisor.
In addition, all supervisors, including trainee supervisors, are required to pay an annual membership fee and keep access to the learning platform with its teaching materials, contact with other supervisors and CPD.
Supervision
This is negotiated and paid directly to their supervisor, or their project lead. This could be a lump sum or staggered payments.
